I’m John and JAG Woodwork is me, a workshop and a fair bit of sawdust in North Wiltshire.
I make chopping boards, coasters, bottle stoppers and garden planters, all by hand. Just good timber and a lot of care. Have a browse and if you’d like something made to order, I’m always happy to talk it over.

Crafted from carefully selected Cherry wood, a hardwood valued for its fine texture, silky natural sheen, and warm pink to reddish-brown colour, this coaster set brings understated luxury to any home or workspace.
Every coaster is shaped, sanded, and finished by hand, measuring approximately 10×10 cm and 1 cm thick, with a cork base to protect surfaces and ensure stability. The matching holder, made from the same hardwood, is built with the same level of care and refined with a blend of oils and wax for a smooth, sophisticated finish. The set measures 11×11×6 cm.

Care Instructions
Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not submerge or place in the dishwasher.
To maintain the finish, apply a small amount of interior hardwood wax with a lint-free cloth (and a bit of elbow grease) as needed.
Each stopper is made by hand in my workshop in Wiltshire from solid hardwood, sanded smooth and fitted with a natural cork shank. They’re a small, useful piece that looks good on the kitchen counter or the dinner table. Because they’re solid wood, every one has its own grain and colour, so no two are exactly alike.

Three-Tone Stopper (3cm x 3cm x 2.4cm)
Strips of American black walnut, maple and cherry are joined together, so you get three shades in one small piece: dark chocolate brown, pale cream and warm reddish-brown.
Black Limba Stopper (3cm x 3cm x 3cm)
Black limba has a soft golden-brown colour with darker streaks running through the grain. It’s a quieter look, and every piece has its own pattern.
American Black Walnut Stopper (3cm x 3cm x 3cm)
A solid block of American black walnut, rich and dark with a natural grain that stands out.
Finish and fit
Finished by hand with tung oil and beeswax, which brings out the grain and leaves a soft, natural feel
Natural cork shank fits bottle openings from 18mm to 22mm
Handmade in the UK, so slight variations in grain and colour are part of the character
